Happy birthday Habitat ReStore

HARLINGEN — One year ago yesterday, the Habitat for Humanity ReStore opened its doors at 1305 Oklahoma Street in Harlingen.

Yesterday, the organization held a ribbon-cutting celebrating its one-year anniversary. The ReStore plays a major part in raising funds for Habitat for Humanity.

The items that are for sale at the ReStore are donated by retail stores and people in the community. The money from the sales is used to match the home sponsor’s donation, which is half of what it costs to build the house.
