In response to freezing temperatures expected to arrive next week, the Hidalgo County Community Service Agency is offering aid to its most vulnerable residents.

The Hidalgo Coin Club will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at the conference room at McAllen Chamber of Commerce, 1200 Ash Ave., at the corner of Broadway and 12th streets.

Also known as Epiphany, the day is meant to honor the Three Wise Men, or Three Kings, who were said to have visited the infant Jesus and brought him gifts. The day marks the end of the Christmas season.
