Law enforcement is investigating three bodies discovered in the brush south of U.S. Route 83 and El Faro Rd. near Sullivan City Thursday.
Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra released a tweet early Thursday afternoon stating that the bodies of two men and one female had been discovered by Border Patrol agents and that sheriff’s deputies were en route to the scene.
Guerra said preliminary investigation indicated the men were undocumented migrants and that no foul play was suspected at the time.
“Two of the bodies were together and the other was off a little ways in the brush,” Guerra said.
Guerra says he is currently awaiting more information from deputies and that the investigation is ongoing.
