It is going to be another hot day and hot weekend.
Temperatures today should reach a high of 98 with a heat index value of 107.
There is a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms this afternoon.
The National Weather Service in Brownsville says for the weekend temperatures will be nearly identical with a high of 99 and the heat index remaining the same at 107 on Saturday.
Sunday’s forecast calls for much of the same.
Remember to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room if at all possible, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
