U.S. Border Patrol agents say they had to chase a driver passing through the Sarita checkpoint after he fled from authorities.
The Kingsville agents say they were attempting to search a car after a canine alerted them to the possibility of people being smuggled in the vehicle.
After a brief chase, the driver was arrested.
Agents say they found seven immigrants hidden in the trunk of the vehicle. All of them were detained and then processed.
