Winter Texan Fiesta attracts hundreds

HARLINGEN — A 40-minute rush of people flooded the entrance of the annual Winter Texan Appreciation Fiesta.

It didn’t stop as Winter Texans lined up along Fair Park Boulevard waiting to get inside for all the helpful information and free stuff.

FormerCity Commissioner Basillio “Chino” Sanchez said it was a great event and it’s good for the city.

The festival drew hundreds of Winter Texans and area residents to the event held at Casa de Amistad event center.

Winter Texans were able to get important information from a wide range of local businesses.

“Every year it gets bigger and bigger,” Sanchez said. “It’s good for the city, and it helps the economy.”

Plenty of people showed up for the afternoon of fun.
