Letters: Where are extremists?

There were times in recent history when America dealt with so many flamboyant movements such as the Tea Party, Antifa, Defund the Police, the Occupy group and the Walk Away campaign, just to name a few.

Yes, I know they’re entitled to free speech and the right to hold protests, both of which are stated in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

So looking back at all the exposure those movements received while raising Cain in their day, the only thing I would love to ask about them is, where in the world are they now?

Abbott’s

déjà vu

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, claiming a high number of migrant border encounters, invoked the Constitution’s invasion clause (Article 1, Section 10) for taking “unprecedented measures” to repel a “border invasion.” Plans include “building border wall in multiple counties, deploy gun boats, enter into a compact with other states to secure the border” and “enter into agreements with foreign powers to enhance border security.”

Eluding Abbott’s generous use of hyperbole is the hallmark of Operation Lone Star’s previous failed deployment — four suicides and horrendous living conditions. Shouldn’t that be a glaring red flag about being wrong again?

Has the U.S. Constitution or asylum law ever stopped Abbott from baiting a fear-based audience? No, he sounds a political dog whistle targeting undocumented immigrants.

Has the Bible provided a theological commandment to confront desperate, unarmed civilians with military force? No, that’s never been an impediment to Abbott’s border déjà vu, either.

Matthew 25: 31-40: “I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”

Complaints

on funding

Needed legislation is being introduced by Rep. Ronny Jackson to prohibit funds for the intrusive and abusive school unions that are ruining children’s and parents’ lives with their transgenderism, Critical Race Theory and sexualization of young children with their unlawful agendas resulting in promoting their mental and physical mutilation without parental knowledge or authorization. How far is this going? It is chilling because it promotes the destruction of children’s innocence.

Unfortunately, these intrusive elements control and decide what is taught or not in schools, while the taxpayers unknowingly provide them with the funds. Those who want to be in destructive control of schools should never have the support of taxpayers’ money. Abuses should never be empowered by taxpayers’ money.

The same should be done for other tax-exempt unions, non-governmental organizations and charities that politicize our elections with questionable voter registration tactics, unending election date voting and freedom-destroying vote harvesting, yet always profiteering from citizen-paid tax money.

Outrageous government resource plundering has negatively impacted our country’s economic stability and sovereignty by promoting and inciting unrestrained illegal immigration as their preferred and primary interest. These self-promoters self-righteously double down under the guise of doing God’s work, but coldly ignore the helpless tax-paying citizens who are already being double-bludgeoned by inflation, not to mention the oppressive tyrannical persecutions and name-bashing against them. Never, ever before have freedom and democracy been so rampantly attacked and destroyed.

Tax-funded socialism and activism are destroying our democracy. Our own government rewards them with perks and tax exemptions, while working citizens do without health care, medicine and basic living necessities.

These groups’ right to this socialist activism needs to be provided by their own self-funding, not by government tax mandates against poor citizens.

Liberal activists should further their humanitarian activities with self-financing, not government grants that should go to our own citizens who still remain in totally ignored need.

Government and lobbyist-funded activism is a fast-spreading economic cancer that benefits the greedy and outsiders, but never our own poor working citizens. Most citizens are afraid to speak out and express this travesty. Consequently, their justice and lives die in silence, and the oppressive socialist-lobbying persecution of citizen innocents continues.

Where is the eloquence in politics? From Filemon Vela telling President Trump to shove the wall up his nether region to Beto O’Rourke, “Hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15,” and now another leader of the Texas Democratic Party, Gilberto Hinojosa, claiming that the 15th Congressional District was stolen because it was redistricted to weed out the Latino vote, calling it “complete bulls—-.” How nice and what an example to the youth of the RGV.

No, Mr. Hinojosa, it is you sadly who is full of fertilizer. According to census and ballot records the 15th District of Texas is 81.87% Hispanic and 15.1% White, so it is you who spouts the false cries of the loss due to redistricting. Ms. Monica De La Cruz handily defeated her opponent by more than 10,000 votes, so please count yourself lucky that Con Mi Gente was able to slither into Filemon Vela’s district and win that seat. You cry foul merely for the optics and political sound byte. Sadly, the media never seem to fact-check the claims of the Democratic Party; otherwise I would not be writing this letter to call out your absence of truth and accuracy.
