Located near the beaches of South Padre Island, this summer attraction is gearing up for another season of fun.

Beach Park at Isla Blanca will open on Friday, May 21.

Formerly known as Schlitterbahn, Beach Park at Isla Blanca has a variety of rides and attractions for everyone.

Young children and families can enjoy spending time in the park’s Lily Pad.

The Lily Pad is an aqua blue wading pool that features a raining mushroom and frog slide.

Another attraction that’s great for children and families is the waterpark’s signature landmark, which is the giant Sand Castle located in the middle of a large water playground.

Sandcastle Cove features a sand castle that towers five-stories above the park and is an interactive water funhouse filled with hundreds of hands-on water play elements, giant dumping sand pails and slides for children and parents.

From the Tempest and Storm Chaser to the Gail Force, the park has several thrilling uphill water coasters.

Those looking to catch a wave are able to at the Surf Rider, which is an area with an endless sheet of water for body board surfing.

According to personnel, the waterpark will open with limited capacity and will follow all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

“We want you to have confidence in your getaway with us to focus on the family memories instead of the worry,” Beach Park’s website states. “We feel it’s important to give you as much information as possible about the things we are doing to ensure your safety.”
