Edinburg to host Filipino Festival at municipal auditorium Saturday

The city of Edinburg is hosting its annual Filipino Festival on Saturday where community members can enjoy the heritage of the Philippines, such as dance performances and a fashion show featuring traditional attire.

The festival will kick off at 6 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. at the Edinburg Municipal Auditorium, which is located at 200 N. Seventh Ave.

Through music, dance, food and other presentations the city hopes to bring community members a glimpse into Filipino culture.

Attendees will also have the chance to participate in interactive games, crafts, take photos in a photo booth and even take part in an open mic karaoke session. The festival will also feature a car show at the Edinburg Food Truck Park.

Not only will attendees have a chance to enjoy the festivities but will also have access to free health screenings at the event.

The family friendly festival will be free and open to the public.
