A tire and auto shop is scheduled to be completed this December in the city of Mercedes.
Officials announced a Southern Tire Mart will be opening a location in the city, which they project will generate taxable sales of about $950,000.
The city stated in the release that the state-of-the-art facility is expected to have a significant positive impact on the local economy, noting that the substantial investment exceeded $4.4 million.
The Southern Tire Mart’s facility spans 14,875 square feet, which officials say will provide an expansive and well-equipped space for customers to explore a wide selection of high quality tires and accessories.
Its completion is scheduled for December of this year, with 20 staff professionals with expertise in tires.
“The City of Mercedes extends its warmest welcome to Southern Tire Mart and recognizes their commitment to providing quality products, superior customer service and boosting the local economy,” the release stated. “The opening of this new facility demonstrates the city’s ongoing growth and development, further enhancing Mercedes’ reputation as a thriving community.”
