Jury begins deliberations in Harlingen intoxication manslaughter trial

The jury has begun deliberations in the intoxication manslaughter trial of a Harlingen man, who police said was drinking drunk when the truck he was driving collided with an SUV killing the two women inside instantly.

Jose Junior Lincoln, of Harlingen, is charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and two counts of manslaughter.

The accident happened July 13, 2020, on Tyler Avenue and Eye Street.

Authorities said Minerva Partida and her daughter Ashley were in a Ford Edge SUV when Lincoln crashed his vehicle into theirs.

The case is being heard before 404th state District Judge Ricardo M. Adobbati.
