Cameron County has partnered with Lone Star National Bank to accept Cameron County Tax Assessor-Collector 2020 Consolidated Tax payments.
“We have been working on this project for some time and finally we have reached an agreement with our bank,” said Tony Yzaguirre, Jr., Tax Assessor-Collector, in a press release.
Lone Star Bank is the county’s depository bank.
The bank will accept payments by cash or check at all of their six banking centers in Cameron County. A copy of your current 2020 Consolidated Tax Bills is required to utilize this service for the payment of current taxes only.
Yzaguirre said the expansion of the services help as taxpayers continue to practice social distancing due to COVID -19. Although a majority of the tax payments are made online, many taxpayers continue to make their payments in person. “This creates more opportunities for payment that will benefit our Taxpayers Countywide,” he said.
Lone Star National Bank has six locations in Cameron County at the addresses located below.

Customers can still pay their taxes online or get a copy of their 2020 Consolidated Tax Bill by visiting www.cameroncountytax.org. In addition the Brownsville Main, Harlingen Branch, San Benito Branch, Los Fresnos Branch, Port Isabel Branch and La Feria Branch Offices continue to service taxpayers for current and delinquent tax collections and motor vehicle registration needs.
