COMMENTARY: Why women should not be socialists (Democrat)

By JIM N. TAYLOR

The biggest vote for women was the one in which they could not vote – for women’s right to vote. After that vote, many votes were cast by women which they “felt” were favorable to them but which really hurt their cause. I refer here to the votes which made the country more socialist and less free-market capitalistic.

The most feminist friendly socio-economic system has always been free-market capitalism, which produces the freedom/ liberty to alleviate economic scarcity at the fastest rate while providing the most female-saving advancements. Medical advancement through capitalism reduced infant mortality from 10,000 to 20,000 per 100,000 down to 1,000 to 2,000 per 100,000 births, while reducing the pregnancies required to maintain the population (and possibly the family name) down to 2 from 10 previously required pregnancies (100 years ago).

Risk for females has been reduced 500%.

Effective means of birth control allows control of this high fertility. Reduction in housework through technology provided the freedom to pursue jobs where machines replace muscle; economic freedom, liberty and equality make more gains under free market capitalism than under any other system. The more socialistic the country, the further behind are the women in achieving what they seek. Just visit those countries and find out.

On International Women’s Day, we still heard lots of whining about how much further women must go to find equality (it now appears they seek domination). It is ironic that American women have done their utmost to bring about increasing socialism; most of them seeking ever more socialism through progressive liberalism to replace men with government.

I say, ladies, be careful what you wish for, men may give it to you.
