HARLINGEN — A monthly morning gathering organized by Downtown Harlingen will be held Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Harlingen Downtown Manager Ed Meza said this month’s downtown coffee event will be held at the Harlingen police station located at 1018 Fair Park, to switch things up.
“We have been doing this activity for years. We do it the first Thursday of each month and usually an establishment in the downtown area hosts it,” Meza said.
“But we decided to switch it up a bit this time and have it at the police department,” he said.
According to Meza, downtown coffee is an opportunity to network with businesses and get to know other Harlingen residents and their businesses.
“We usually have guest speakers attend. This time one of our confirmed speakers will be Chief Kester, but we will have others attend and talk to the group,” he said.
