The Texas Department of Public Safety is at the scene of a fatal accident east of Rio Hondo that claimed the life of a woman.
The accident happened on FM 106 and Centerline Road.
“A small car was struck by a semi truck,” said Rio Hondo Police Chief William Bilokury. “This is a very dangerous intersection. Centerline, FM 803 … all of them are dangerous.”
Bilokury said the victim was a passenger in the car. Motorists are being told to avoid the area and find an alternate route.
