SOUTH PADRE ISLAND — After months of election tasks from campaigning to voting and tallying, the unexpired term of resigning Mayor Dennis Stahl will soon be filled.
The City of South Padre Island will host a meet and greet with newly elected Mayor Patrick McNulty tonight from 5 to 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
Following the meet and greet, McNulty will be sworn in as mayor during a regular City Council meeting.
Out-going mayor Stahl will be recognized during the meeting after McNulty’s oath is administered.
Stahl submitted his resignation back in February and has served as mayor since 2017.
Prior to being mayor, Stahl was elected as a council member in 2014.
