‘Mary Poppins Returns’ kicks off summer films on Friday

HARLINGEN — The city’s annual “Movies in the Park” kicks off its summer season Friday with “Mary Poppins Returns” at around 8 p.m. in Lozano Plaza downtown.

Organizers recommend bringing blankets and chairs for the showing, which will begin at sundown.

“Mary Poppins Returns” will be the first of three movies planned for outdoor venues this summer.

On July 19, “Incredibles 2” will be shown at Liberty Gardens at around 8 p.m.
