U.S. Border Patrol agents patrolling near Los Indios seized hundreds of pounds of marijuana.
In a news release, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said the agents saw a Ford F-150 traveling along a dirt road near the Rio Grande on Thursday morning and then speed away.
The driver and a passenger were seen trying to abandon and the pickup and flee. Agents found more than 830 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $700,000.
A short time later they found one of the suspects and arrested the 27-year-old Mexican national.
