Taking exception to editorials

I take issue with the incessant badgering of the McAllen Monitor’s editorials relating to immigration issues, 5/11/18 VMS. If open borders is what the Monitor advocates, well, 1,000 immigrants cross the border daily.

Furthermore, just for informational purposes, one third of San Salvador’s population is already living in the U.S. And just about every day we see reporting of stash houses all over the Valley. In fact, based on economic conditions, the Valley is that of a stash house.

As far as the U.S. Government enforcing existing immigration laws, well, it is their job to protect America’s borders. And habitual offenders who violate America’s Sovereignty should be treated as criminals.

There is nothing wrong with the current immigration laws. The only problem was, and is, that laws were not enforced previously.

I applaud the current administration’s actions, that more judges will be assigned to Southern District, to adjudicate many of these cases.
