Harlingen police are looking for the man who robbed an elderly woman’s purse in a shopping center parking lot Thursday afternoon.
Police say the suspect parked his car next to the 83-year-old woman’s vehicle in front of Marshalls on the 2800 block of W. Expressway 83.
They say the man got out of his car, pushed the victim out of the way and then stole her purse from inside her car. As he drove away she managed to pull off the key-hole cover from his car.
The women sustained only minor injuries.
A witness and the victim describe the suspect as a tall Hispanic man in his 30s with a medium complexion and wavy hair. He wore a light colored shirt with blue stripes and blue jeans. He drove away in a maroon or reddish four-door sedan. The key-hold on the driver’s side is damaged.
