HARLINGEN — A 16-year-old girl was killed in a rollover accident in Harlingen yesterday afternoon.
The accident happened shortly after 3:15 p.m. in the 100 block of South 7th Street.
The initial information indicates her vehicle rolled over after striking a moving van that was parked on the street.
Firefighters and EMTs extricated the 16-year-old driver from the vehicle.
She was taken to a local hospital where she died from her injuries.
No other information was immediately available. The crash is still under investigation.
