Multi-car crash sends victims to hospital

RAYMONDVILLE — Three ambulances and a helicopter sent about four critically-injured crash victims to a hospital yesterday afternoon just north of the Kenedy County line.

About four victims suffering head trauma were rushed to the hospital after the crash on Interstate 69 about two miles north of the Willacy County line about 2 p.m., Sheriff Larry Spence said.

He described it as a multi-vehicle crash.

Preliminary reports indicated Spring Breakers might have been involved in the crash.

The Texas Department of Public Safety was investigating the case.

Spokespersons for DPS were not available for comment and no further information was immediately available.
