NAFTA editorial lacking

The New York Times recently ran an in-depth front page article on the international bridges at Progreso and Rio Grande City and how Donald Trump’s attacks on NAFTA might affect trade.

The NYT interviewed Sam Sparks Jr. and Sam Vale, who both supported Trump-and still do-and both acknowledged concern about changing

NAFTA rules.

One wonders how the McAllen Monitor Editorial Board can run an 800 word piece-two weeks laterabout NAFTA and concern for its effect on the Valley’s economy without once invoking Trump’s name?

Yes, it’s funny that the NYT just discovered that two South Texas bridges are owned by men named Sam, but they are Yankees after all.

But what excuse does the Monitor have for featuring

an editorial about NAFTA without naming the man who is threatening to trash it?
