Work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit leads to success
It’s late afternoon on a Friday and Andrea Bernes greets a customer with a smile as she picks up a plain, white round cake and walks it into the back kitchen area to be decorated.
The sweet smell of freshly-baked cookies and cakes permeates every nook and cranny of Linda’s Cakes and Desserts Specialty Shop. Tables are lined with small packages of empanadas, cookies, and in the middle of the room, a round table full of plain cakes ready for someone to pick up and have one personalized for that very special occasion.
Upon her return to the front, Andrea gazes around her business proudly, trying to decide what cookies to show off and how to best display them.
