Department of Public Safety Troopers responded Thursday afternoon to a fatal crash in San Benito which left one man dead.
According to authorities, a blue Dodge Ram was traveling north on F.M. 732 as a black Mitsubishi Lancer was heading in the opposite direction.
The two vehicles hit each other head on just south of F.M. 1577. Joe Peña, 25, of Edcouch was driving the Mitsubishi and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver was moved to Valley Baptist Medical Center.
It is unclear what caused the vehicles to collide.
