The NWS reports heat indices between 105 to 110 degrees will occur across South Texas today.

The affected areas include the cities of Brownsville, Harlingen, Port Isabel, South Padre Island, Laguna Heights, Laguna Vista, Rio Grande City, Roma, McAllen, Edinburg, Pharr, Mission, Weslaco, Raymondville and Port Mansfield.

The NWS reports a strong high pressure will continue over Deep South Texas with high temperatures ranging from the 90s to the 100s. Officials said the high temperatures combined with humid air will produce the “feel like” temperatures between 105 and 110 degrees.
