SAN BENITO – San Benito CISD has decided to hire a new consulting firm in its search for a superintendent.
During a special meeting last week the board of trustees hired JG Consulting, of San Antonio, to conduct the search to replace Dr. Adrian Vega, who left the district earlier this month.
The board had initially hired McShan Consulting, of Harlingen, but the firm canceled its services with the district.
According to the company website, JG Consulting conducts executive searches, coaching and strategic planning for school districts. San Benito says the firm has established a timeline and progress is being made for a replacement.
Acting Superintendent Hilda Garcia Rendon will remain in the position until a new superintendent is found.
