SAN BENITO — The San Benito school district has a new acting superintendent.
Last night trustees unanimously appointed Hilda Rendon, the district’s Executive Director of Finance and Operations, to serve as the interim superintendent.
The appointment becomes effective on Friday, June 9 after current Superintendent Dr. Adrian Vega leaves office that same day. When Vega resigned in April he said his new job is in the private sector and will take him out of the area.
In the meantime, the district will be using McShan Consulting Firm of Harlingen to find their next permanent leader.
