Travis’ Jesse Saldivar recognized as TEPSA Region One Assistant Principal of the Year

Travis Elementary assistant principal, Jesse Saldivar, was recently recognized as the 2017 Region One Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA).

“It is a great honor to be selected as the TEPSA Region One Assistant Principal of the Year,” said Saldivar. “My goal is to lead by example and be committed to establishing a culture that fosters growth, learning, and excellence for all our students and staff. Change is unavoidable, therefore; walking the path less traveled and taking on new initiatives will lead to greater opportunities to prepare our students for a successful career in today’s competitive society.”

Saldivar is among 20 administrators to receive this designation. The peer-based award recognizes assistant principals for their commitment to student learning as evidenced by exceptional school leadership.

One of the 20 region principals will be selected as the 2017 National Assistant Principal of the Year for Texas. Honorees will be recognized at the TEPSA Awards Reception Wednesday, June 14, at the Austin Renaissance Hotel.
