Lyford schools enter NASA program

LYFORD —The Lyford After School Program is proud to announce its Middle School Program has been accepted to participate in the 21st Century NASA STEM Challenge.

This challenge project is a joint initiative between the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Academic Improvement and NASA. The LMS After School Program students in the robotics and STEM club will be working with real scientists on actual projects in a hands-on learning environment.

The students will be developing engineering projects in conjunction with NASA scientists via web cam conferences. Each STEM challenge is based on real missions, data collected and recorded experiences that occurred during explorations of our solar system.
