The Cameron County Sheriff’s Department and several other agencies are investigating human remains found east of Rio Hondo today.
The remains were found near a ranch at the intersection of Centerline Road and FM 106.
The Brownsville Fire Department dive team was brought in to search a nearby canal. Sheriff’s officials said they would not comment further about the case until Friday.
