HARLINGEN — The driver who police say was involved in a fatal hit and run accident last night has turned himself into police.
Police searched all morning for the man whose identity will not be released until he is formally arraigned on charges.
At 9:24 p.m., Harlingen officers responded to the 900 block of W. Tyler Ave. for an auto-pedestrian crash. When officers arrived they found 52-year-old Jeffrey Wall dead on the street.
Police say the suspect fled the scene of the crash. Officer found his car hours later.
