Annual Prayer Breakfast tomorrow

SAN BENITO — An early morning prayer breakfast is slated for early tomorrow morning.

All are encouraged to attend the free event.

The San Benito Mayor’s Community Prayer Breakfast is an annual event.

Organizers say it is designed to mobilize prayer and spiritual support in a “non-church” setting for governmental and community leadership serving the community on a local, state and national basis and to acknowledge the community’s dependence on God for its well-being.

The program includes inspirational music performed by local and area musicians and choirs, multimedia presentations, expressions of welcome and greeting, personal statements of faith, reading of scriptures, a main address by a recognized speaker and supportive prayer involving those present at each table who choose to participate.

Tickets are provided by churches and sponsors and only given to those who can participate.

Schools, families, youths, government leaders and businesses are prayed for by area pastors.

The event, which begins at 6:30 a.m., will be held in Knights of Columbus Civic Center.

The early morning breakfast ends at 7:55 a.m., allowing attendees to get to work.

Organizers say the event is a positive expression of care and support for local, state and national leaders in a non-church setting.

No portions of the agenda or any of the speakers may intentionally choose to confront, embarrass, or convert attendees from their chosen faiths or non-faith perspectives.
