Catholics all honor and remember the Virgin Mary, but who remembers, Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus? It was Joseph who was the provider and protector of the Holy Family, and I believe it was Joseph, not Mary, who was his biggest influence as they both walked together to work and back
How many discussions did they have over religion, philosophy, history and politics? And what did Joseph think about every night when he was watching Jesus sleep, about why he was chosen for the special responsibility of caring for this very special child who would one day change the world?
When Jesus ascended to heaven, the first person he looked for was Joseph, to thank him for being the best earthly father ever. I know this is what happened, because that is exactly what I am going to do when I see my father in heaven, too.
