It will take years to rid the White House of the stink left by the corrupt Trump administration. He as leader of our great country in the White House and how he surrounded himself with crackpots pushing wild, unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.
The culmination of this came to peak in what is now being called the “unhinged meeting” on Dec. 18, 2020, which Trump convened without consulting or notifying official White House staff. In the meeting, consulting the president were disbarred attorney Rudy Giuliani, crazy conspiracist attorney Sidney Powell, convicted felon Michael Flynn, Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne, with dubious qualifications to even be there.
Giuliani’s law license was suspended over Trump election lies. Flynn also was pushing the conspiracy that our voting machines were being controlled by outside international forces tied in to voting machines through the internet. Sidney Powell, also fighting disbarment, whose wild conspiracy theories include that votes had been illegally switched on Dominion voting machines, said Trump was “very interested” in her theories. After floating her conspiracy theories that millions of Trump supporters believed, when sued by Dominion, her defense in court was that “no reasonable person” thought her election fraud claims were fact. In other words, they were fools to believe her.
Michael Flynn, who raised the idea of Trump declaring martial law to stay in power, has pleaded the Fifth Amendment many times when being interviewed by the Jan. 6 committee. He obviously thinks that if he answered questions it would reveal his crimes.
Some other crazy ideas presented by these wackos included the military seizing voting machines.
None of the people at this meeting were official government consultants. They were brought in because Trump wanted to hear how he could stay in power after he had lost the election.
Fortunately, the official White House attorneys and other consultants, all Trump supporters, came in when they found out about the unofficial meeting and put a stop to the crazy plans they and Trump were planning.
A note to Trump supporters who have criticized the Jan. 6 committee as a show by partisan Democrats: Every witness who has testified and revealed Trump’s irrational and possibly criminal behavior is or was a staunch Trump supporter. They have decided to testify and tell the truth because as genuine American patriots, they are putting our country and our democracy before their loyalty to a corrupt ex-president.

I’m curious to know if the massive influx of unvetted migrants crossing our southern border might be a contributing factor to the recent increases of COVID cases/hospitalizations in the Valley.
RGV residents have a right to know and public heath and elected officials at all levels have a responsibility to address this matter and make their findings known.
