Letters: Going green was a success

Does Joe Biden going green really work? I installed solar panels on my home three years ago. My total electric bill for those three years combined has been $350. So if you would ask me if it works for me, my answer would be yes, it works.

Many of us, especially the right-wing advocates, are against this because of Big Oil Company money. Ask yourself: Who gains by driving the price of gas up?

Right now the war in Ukraine is blamed on the Russian oil supply. Is the gas we have right now made from oil that has been pumped from Russia in the past three months or years ago?

Oil companies use any national emergency, even if it has minimal effect on their oil production. They used the Keystone pipeline as a reason to pressure the government to get their way.

If America goes green, which it has started to, we don’t have to be held hostage by them anymore.

Fake climate change dictators fly all over the world in private, commercial and sometimes government-owned planes to promote their leftist Green New Deal. All this “climate change” intimidation is never really for the world’s benefit, but for their personal pocketbooks. Their billionaire mansions’ energy maintenance probably guzzles more energy than the average American uses on basics.

Is the left’s present rush to silence and bully conservatives’ voices in any way linked to any possibility of their fear of losing ongoing perks, subsidies or welfare benefits? We hope not. If so many of us can survive without any, we all can.

For free speech detractors, being a simple, hardworking American who worked hard since childhood to senior adulthood, be assured I stand up for this beautiful country and its great people, who like me love it proudly and without expectation of any subsidies, benefits or reparations. My voice is simply used to stand up for everybody’s dignity, freedom, equal-respect and non-preferential treatment for everyone.

“Haz el bien sin mirar a quien” — “Do good without looking at whom.” This was a mantra within my family and church since childhood. It is not the case anymore; even my church reversed course, using its wealth and power to divert this noble foundation to preferential treatment for “immigration-first” politics.

We see many Americans in need, ignored and relegated to tax-funding, government-dictated tax-paying machines.

The church’s and government’s “humanity” was converted by politicization, personally designating self-entitlement for those with whom their preferences rest, in their pursuit of absolute power.

For those falsely clamoring for “immigration reform,” stop the lies! We have constitutional immigration reform laws in place from way back. Those liars have broken them through lawless anarchy. There is no need for immigration reform. Many of these “poor migrants” are now enjoying a much better standard of living and entitlements than the Americans who pay for them.

The Monitor editorial of May 20, “Accepted: Ignoring white supremacy has let it

become normalized,” is a must read! Great reporting!

“Americans have ignored the insidious creep of White supremacy into the public

discourse to the point that it has become normalized and has radicalized extremist

politicians.”

America is beautiful and generous, but for more than 200 years as a nation we have had

racism. And like cancer it must be wiped out!
