Two Hidalgo County men found dead at Brownsville residence

Two Hidalgo County residents were found dead with multiple gunshot wounds outside a residence in Brownsville on Saturday, according to the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office.

The decedents were identified as 24-year-old Jose Santiago Sanchez and 26-year-old Eduardo Sebastian Alamillo.

Deputies responded to the residence located in the 6800 block of Greystone in regards to “multiple reports of shots fired and a subject shot,” according to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office.

Once the deputies arrived, they found two male subjects with multiple bullet wounds and unresponsive.

EMS also responded to the scene and determined the men were dead.

“Sheriff Investigators responded and initiated a murder investigation,” the post reads. “Sheriff Investigators gathered evidence and obtained statements from witnesses.”

The investigation remains active.
