Man wanted for North Carolina murder nabbed at Gateway International Bridge

A man wanted for murder in North Carolina was arrested at the Gateway International Bridge on Saturday morning.

The Cameron County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook that a man identified as William Espino, who’s wanted for murder by the Mecklenburg Police Department in North Carolina, was initially detained at the bridge by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and later transported and booked into the Carrizalez-Rucker Detention Center in Olmito, where he’s awaiting extradition.

Additional details about the murder allegations remain unclear.
