Hidalgo County sheriff’s deputies shoot, kill man during Donna domestic dispute

Deputies with the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office shot and killed a man who tried to use his vehicle to hit his wife.

In a Facebook post, the sheriff’s office said deputies responded to the 200 block of Moonstone at approximately 11:02 p.m. in rural Donna in reference to a domestic disturbance.

“Deputies observed husband attempting to strike his wife using his vehicle,” the post stated. “Deputies fired their weapons striking the suspect. Suspect died of his injuries at a local hospital.”

No other information was immediately released.
