For all those looking for a fun way to welcome the spring season, there will be cause to celebrate on Thursday.
The office of Hidalgo County Precinct 3 is hosting a fun-filled spring celebration Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Katrina Park, located 17918 Sabal Palm Drive in Peñitas.
To kick off the event the county is giving away free kites and goodie bags to the first 100 children who attend the celebration.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature various activities such as arts and crafts, a petting zoo, candy and games as well as free food and snacks.
