Ecotourism center hosts speaker; Laguna Atascosa subject of presentation

George “Georgie” Garcia, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service visitor center manager at Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge, will give a talk at the South Texas Ecotourism Center on April 6 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the STEC multipurpose room.

The presentation is titled “Laguna Atascosa: A South Texas Treasure.”

Garcia’s appearance is part of STEC’s Spring Speaker Series 2023.

Admission is free and refreshments will be served.

On April 8, STEC will host a pre-Easter activity involving the creation of egg ornaments from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. STEC also will be open Easter Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
