Another rally for Brownsville environmental activist held at city hall

BROWNSVILLE — Bekah Hinojosa addressed supporters from the steps of City Hall here Tuesday during a rally and march to urge Cameron County District Attorney Luis Saenz and the city of Brownsville to drop the class B misdemeanor charge against Hinojosa.

Hinojosa and her supporters planned to ask at the city council meeting for the charges against her be dropped for defacing a mural funded Elon Musk Foundation and that Brownsville Mayor Trey Mendez be investigated for abuse of power.
