The deadline to file for a place on the ballot for the McAllen school board election is 5 p.m. Friday.
Four seats are up for election: places one, two, four and five.
Each seat serves a four-year term.
The district was not able to provide filing information to The Monitor on names for candidates who have already signed up to run.
A spokesperson did note, however, that candidates’ names will be posted on the district’s website after 5 p.m. Friday.
Applications are available in Portable #69 at 2200 Tamarack Ave.
Completed applications can be filed at the same location.
Election Day is May 6.
