Threat at Harlingen school leads to arrest of one student

A threat at Cano Freshman Academy this morning has led to the arrest of one student, Harlingen police said on its Facebook page.

A post from Harlingen Police Department stated police received information that a student at the school had made a threat to the school.

“Harlingen Officers immediately responded and identified the subject who made the threats. One Cano Freshman student has been arrested and removed from the school,” the post read.

The department said it takes any and all threats seriously.
