La Mafia to headline San Benito music festival

The city of San Benito is getting a chart-topping visit at this year’s South Texas Music Festival.

La Mafia, a Grammy award-winning Tejano band, will be headlining this year’s festival along with other artists such as Sunny Sauceda y Todo Eso.

The festival is scheduled to take place Saturday, Sept. 24, at the W.H. Heavin Memorial Park located at 800 N. Bowie St. in San Benito.

Performances from local groups like Texas Evolution, Grupo Naval and a performance by Ballet Folklórico Tradición Mexicana will also be featured at the festival.

The event will also include food and beverage vendors as well as fun activities for kids.

Tickets for the festival are available online at topboxtickets.com as well as in person at the Bullrider Western Wear in Harlingen, all The Boot Jack locations in the Rio Grande Valley and at the San Benito Public Library at 101 W. Rose St. in San Benito.

Children 10 and under get in for free.
