Donna police on Friday arrested a 36-year-old Donna man accused of multiple beer thefts from a local convenience store.
Authorities said in a news release that Jesus Castillo Jr. is responsible for at least six beer runs at a local Stripes.
Police arrived at the store around 2:56 a.m. in response to a man, later identified as Castillo, who employees claimed stole three cases of beer.
Officers located Castillo in the 1800 block of Miller Avenue where he proceeded to flee from police and hide in a vehicle. He was later found in a motel in the 2300 block of Hooks Avenue.
He was charged with theft and evading arrest and his bond was set at $40,000.
