McAllen police responded to a fatal auto-pedestrian collision Thursday morning.
The collision happened in the 200 block of westbound Frontage Road at about 7:21 a.m., according to McAllen Public Information Officer Olivia Lopez.
“Officers determined the pedestrian was on the roadway and was struck by a vehicle,” Lopez said.
The pedestrian died at the scene and the driver of the vehicle remained there.
Police said the victim was a man, but his name and age is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
“The cause of the auto-pedestrian collision still remains under investigation,” Lopez said.
