HARLINGENThe City of Harlingen is holding a series of community gatherings called “Listening Session” for residents of each district to continue providing feedback, after the June 30 town hall meeting.

The first Listening Session will be in District 5 on July 26 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Vela Middle School, 801 S. Palm Blvd. District 5 Commissioner Rene Perez and the city commission invite residents of this district to attend and fill out the city’s 2022 survey.

The second Listening Session will be held in District 1 on Aug. 4 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Harlingen Arts & Heritage Museum, 2425 Boxwood Street. District 1 Commissioner Ford Kinsley and the city commission encourage residents of District 1 to attend.

According to a city press release, the city commission will continue holding gatherings in each of the five districts for residents to share their concerns and provide feedback on ways to improve city services.

Attendees will be asked to fill out a survey. The survey can also be filled online by visiting the city’s website at https://www.myharlingen.us/page/2022survey.

Dates for the Listening Sessions for Districts 2, 3 and 4 will be announced soon.
