The City of Brownsville will hold its annual Salute to Freedom Fourth of July celebration at the Brownsville Sports Park on Monday.

There will be a flag raising ceremony, live music, a car show, food vendors, sponsors and more leading up to the spectacular fireworks show.

As a way to honor veterans, veterans will be welcomed to free food and refreshments courtesy of H-E-B.

The tailgate area opens at 5 p.m. Monday, with the gates open at 6 p.m. The fireworks will be set off at about 9 p.m.

There will be free parking on a first come first serve basis. Paid VIP parking will also be available.

Traffic to the Brownsville Sports Park will be turned away before the start of the Fireworks show.
