Three work-search websites in Texas were offline Wednesday following the national internet outage of a major contractor.
The Texas Workforce Commission, like many other states, contracts with Geographic Solutions Inc., which reported the initial outage Sunday.
The Texas job websites which are not working are www.WorkInTexas.com and two related sites, www.MyTXCareer.com and www.TXInternshipChallenge.com
“TWC is working with GSI to understand the impact of the outage and confirm when the system will be online again, although it is anticipated that the sites will be down until early next week,” the Texas jobs agency said in a statement.
TWC has created an alternative webpage at https://www.twc.texas.gov/outage-resources for individuals who need resources to attain employment, as well as to meet work search requirements during the outage.
The TWC’s website, www.twc.texas.gov, is not affected by the outage since it is managed in-house.
